3-6 days of dance/movement technique and training with some of the world’s most celebrated and sought-after teachers and innovators in the field of tribal fusion bellydance (see schedule for details).

New Specialized workshops created just for this event focusing on: History, evolution, and context of Tribal fusion bellydance: Movement Invention & Creating choreography; Exploring true fusion; Musicality; Creating your own aesthetic and costuming, Theatricality and performance, Creating a personal practice; Dance Therapeutics & Sustainability; and Core Integrated Yoga specifically for Bellydance.

An intermediate/advanced track for deeper study and professionalized focus. (limited to 25 participants)

Extra Day added in the int./adv. track! Due to overwhelming interest and desire for More of Mecca’s specialized focus and continuing ‘next level’ development in their art, we added another full day of festivities. That means: 6 hours a day, for 3 full days!

One ticket to the Sunday night decompression, featuring a happy hour hafla starring YOU, followed by an intimate live performance by one of our favorite gypsy bands.

Jamila Salimpour is the mother of tribal belly dance. Her belly dance format has existed for over 50 years and still holds true as a valid and vibrant format. Jamila will teach the basic movement families and concepts of her format along with her unparalleled method of teaching and playing finger cymbals.
